Blogging Tips Pt. 2

Economy of words is a phrase used to describe the idea of using fewer more descriptive words rather than less descriptive and drawn out. This is important when it comes to blogging because you don’t want to lose your reader. You want your reader to have enough time to actually read your post and not get lost in the words. Sometimes, less is more and it is better to be short and to the point, when communicating conversationally.
Hat tipping (h/t) is an important phrase in the blogger world.  H/T is the act of acknowledging when a writer has received inspiration from or borrowed an idea or work from another writer. It is derived from the act of tipping your hat when seeing/acknowledging someone you know. This is important in the blogger world because you don’t want to plagiarize, even when not in an academic setting, and it is also a way to improve readership for someone else at the same time.
