Designing Blogs

            When considering the design of your blog there are many tips and tricks that can be applied that will help make your blog stand out while still being easily readable and a portrayal of you as the author at the same time. When it comes to the design of the blog, it is imperative that the design fits the topic of your blog. The audience for my blog is women between the ages of about 18 and 35 and I will cover topics such as makeup and beauty and professional advice for women, so when thinking of the layout and fonts I wanted to use, I decided to go with something very feminine.  I used the watermark template that incorporated multiple shades of pink and very nice almost feminine font that resembled calligraphy writing. Color is also something that has to be taken into consideration. Because I chose to have a light pink background, if my font was white or a light pink it would be very hard to read. Also, to fit in with my feminine theme, instead of going with a traditional black font, I chose to go with a dark purple. All of these aspects and more should be taken into consideration when designing a blog to ensure a finished product that you would be proud to let your audience read.
